<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The aim of this study is to present an overview of the promising literary theory after poststructualism. This paper mentions the return to literary studies of such categories as subjectivity (an author), evaluation and textual meaning. This article deals with polemics against deconstruction, feminism, new historicism shading some light on the tension between institutional frames of contemporary literary theory and the intellectual interest in nonconformist investigations into literature. The author argues that it is currently possible to combine the tradition of philology with the cutting edge literary research.</dc:description>

W artykule mowa o powrocie do literaturoznawstwa takich kategorii, jak podmiotowość (autor), ocena i znaczenie tekstu. Artykuł traktuje o polemikach z dekonstrukcją, feminizmem, nowy historyzm rzucający nieco światła na napięcie pomiędzy ramami instytucjonalnymi współczesności teoria literatury i intelektualne zainteresowanie nonkonformistycznymi badaniami literatury.

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The issue of the paper is a phenomenon belonging to the theory of interpretative procedures. These procedures are practiced in humanities. The author notices that the unclear meaning of thetexts is very often caused by some reasons: 1) scholars use vague, ambiguous, figurative languageof discourse. In the case of the literary research it cases the accumulated ambiguity; 2) literarycommentators use the trains of associations; a text is in associations with another ones but its rightmeaning is blurred. The author of the study analyses this phenomenon using example of theoreticaldiscussion about "a problem of text" which had place in "Teksty Drugie" in 1998 year.</dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="pl-PL">Treść artykułu traktuje o zjawisku należącym do teorii procedur interpretacyjnych.

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The specificity of the book containing Prokop Zbigniewski's diary is undoubtedly influenced by the introduction, preceding the main and main text of the report written by the soldier and participant of the war struggles on the Dniester. It clearly emphasizes the importance of this report appearing in the bookstore circulation, finally trustworthy and, what is even more important, providing "good news". Other - speculative, because "fallible" - reports lost the competition with the newly published "Diary", at least this is the thesis that can be read from the "prologue" announced in the title of this draft. ; This short "introduction", opened with the main title ("Adversaria abo terminata" [...]) and subtitles ("Protrepticon", "Syncretismus", then: "Terminata of war with the Turk"), allows us to capture the subtle nuance of the prevailing society, an atmosphere marked, to put it briefly, by fear. The unity of feelings and common concern for the fate of the nation and the state also document the strengthening of patriotism on an increasingly larger scale, which - and we observe this regularity once again - was strengthened, among others, thanks to words recorded in a procession of letters.</dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="pl-PL">Na specyfikę książeczki zawierającej dziennik Prokopa Zbigniewskiego niewątpliwie wpływa introdukcja, poprzedzająca główny i zasadniczy tekst sprawozdania spisanego przez żołnierza i uczestnika wojennych zmagań nad Dniestrem. Ten niedługi "wstęp", otwarty tytułem nadrzędnym ("Adversaria abo terminata" [...]) i podtytułami ("Protrepticon", "Syncretismus", następnie: "Terminata rzeczy wojennych z Turkiem"), pozwala uchwycić subtelny niuans panującej w ówczesnym społeczeństwie atmosfery, naznaczonej, mówiąc najkrócej, trwogą.

He defended Polish tradition in the globalizing modern world. His literary anthropology and practical rhetoric were founded on this challenging tradition and on Latin civilization. Because of their deep metaphysical wisdom they are still inspiring for many literary critics students of Polish philology.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The question asked by Martin Heidegger applies to every pope, who in the modern world is often seen as a Don Quixote in a white cassock, fighting against the dragon of nihilism. In this sketch, I`m trying to present the fascination with the person of John Paul II, which was recorded in two books-interviews that Jan Grzegorczyk conducted with father Jan Góra OP: "Góra albo jak wyżebrać niebo i człowieka. Rady ojca Jana spisane przez Jana Grzegorczyka" (1999), "Święty i błazen" and "Jan Góra w odsłonach Jana Grzegorczyka" (2014) The Polish Dominican friar realized the teachings of John Paul II in his ministry, whom he consistently called John Paul the Great. The meetings of young people in Lednica, which were started by Father Góra, are a spiritual monument to his fascination with the Pope, whose teachings were for him a recipe for holiness. This essay, written after the death of Jan Góra, is an attempt to answer the question: who is John Paul II, according to Jan Góra?</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The article discusses the original of the Karol Wojtyła’s poem Wigilia wielkanocna 1966 (Easter Vigil 1966), namely the manuscript stored in the Cracow Curia Archive. The main goal of the paper is to show basic directions of the Wojtyła’s work on the text of this poem. Detailed analysis of its autograph (varieties of the text, removals and other emendations) has proved that Wojtyła wanted to achieve the text cohesion and information precision but, on the other hand, he aspired to generalizing as well as avoiding the redundancy. Confronting the most popular edition of the Wojtyła’s poem (K. Wojtyła, Poezje, dramaty, szkice, Jan Paweł II, Tryptyk rzymski, introduction by M. Skwarnicki, Kraków 2004) with its original enabled me also to introduce a necessary emendation to the published version.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">This paper is an attempt to present the real message of Sauromatian Flag (Chorągiew sauromatcka) by Marcin Paszkowski. The XVII century text is considered to be an eulogy of the whole Polish army that had beaten the forces of Ottomans’ Empire in 1621 at Khotyn (Chocim). However a lot of obvious historical facts contradicts such a point of view for a significant part of Polish troops has never reached the battlefield near the Dniester River at all. They returned home from Lviv (Lwów) just after the end of fights against Turkey. But Paszkowski shows the members of the Noble Host (pospolite ruszenie) as victorious participants of the war and this idea seems to be a simple false inspired with author’s sophisticated tendency willing to defend the noblemen mass from any allegation because they were led by the king, Sigismund III Vasa (Zygmunt III Waza). And there is no need to believe the Paszkowski’s suppositions.</dc:description>
